Updated on 27, July 2025

1. General

By booking lessons with Orbit Driving School, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Orbit Driving School reserves the right to update or amend these terms at any time.

 2. Driving Licence and Legal Requirements

All students must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and produce it upon request.
You must be legally entitled to drive in the UK and meet the minimum eyesight requirements set by the DVLA.

 3. Lesson Bookings

Lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule a lesson.
Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the lesson being charged in full.
If you cancel or reschedule more than three lessons without a valid reason, your lesson slot may be offered to another student.

 4. Lesson Times and Attendance

Lessons will begin and end at the agreed time and location.
Any changes to pick-up or drop-off locations must be arranged in advance.
If there is no response at the start of the lesson, I will attempt to contact you and wait up to 15 minutes. After that, the lesson will be cancelled and charged in full.
If I am running late or need to cancel, I will contact you as soon as possible, and either reschedule the lesson or make up the lost time.

 5. Payments

Payment must be made at least 24 hours in advance if paying by bank transfer, or at the start of the lesson if paying by cash.
Block bookings must be paid in full before the first lesson in the block.

 6. Rebooking After a Test

If you do not pass your driving test, you will be required to complete at least 4 more hours of training before booking another test. This helps address weaknesses and improve your overall driving skills.

 7. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged.
Refunds for unused block bookings may be subject to an admin fee and will be calculated based on the full lesson rate.
Orbit Driving School reserves the right to cancel lessons due to unforeseen circumstances such as illness, breakdowns, or adverse weather.

 8. Instructor Obligations

Your instructor is DVSA-approved and will behave professionally at all times.
Vehicles are fully insured, roadworthy, and fitted with dual controls.
The instructor may terminate a lesson if the student is unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs, or medical reasons.

 9. Student Responsibilities

Students must be punctual. Late arrivals may result in reduced lesson time.
You must inform the instructor of any medical condition or medication that could affect your driving.
Mobile phone use during lessons is not allowed except in emergencies.

10. Use of Instructor’s Car for Driving Test

Test bookings are the student’s responsibility unless otherwise arranged.
Use of the instructor’s vehicle for the test is at their discretion.
If the instructor feels you are not ready, they may refuse the use of the vehicle for the test.

11. Complaints Procedure

We are committed to providing high-quality instruction. If you are unhappy with any part of your experience, please raise your concerns directly with the instructor first to resolve the matter quickly.
If the issue cannot be resolved informally, a formal complaint can be made in writing by email or letter, and we will respond within 7 working days.

12. Data Protection

Your personal data is handled in accordance with UK GDPR laws and will not be shared with third parties without consent.
By taking lessons with Orbit Driving School, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
